Privacy and Data Statement
Summary of This Statement
Data uploaded to Squares 9 remains the member’s data, and the member is the sole owner of that data. Squares 9 does not track members, profile members, sell data, or use member information to train artificial intelligence systems.
The platform is designed to keep information within the spaces members control. Access is determined by the member, and visibility outside those spaces is intentionally limited by system design.
Core Principles
Squares 9 is built on the principle that personal information belongs to the individual. The platform does not treat data as a commercial asset, and it does not build systems around extracting value from member behavior or activity.
Privacy is supported through architecture, governance, and operational discipline. The system is designed to reduce exposure, limit data collection, and maintain clear boundaries around how information is used.
Data Ownership
Members retain ownership of the content they create and share. This includes written communication, images, and all materials placed within their Squares. Data remains under the control of the member and is not transferred into a corporate asset pool for resale or external use.
Squares 9 uses data only as required to operate, secure, and maintain the platform. Data is not repurposed for unrelated commercial activity.
No Tracking or Profiling
Squares 9 does not track browsing behavior, interaction patterns, or activity flows for the purpose of building behavioral profiles. The platform avoids creating predictive models based on member activity and does not participate in surveillance based data systems.
Member activity remains within the experience itself rather than being converted into an external data product.
Limits on Artificial Intelligence
Member content is not used to train artificial intelligence systems. Squares 9 does not feed member data into internal or external AI models for learning, prediction, or commercial use.
Artificial intelligence may be used in limited, controlled ways to support system performance, security, and operational efficiency, consistent with the Universal Digital Rights and AI Ethics Charter.
Controlled Access Environment
Squares 9 operates as a closed system where access is determined by the member. Information is shared within defined Squares and is not made available through public search, open discovery, or external indexing.
This structure preserves context and reduces the risk of misuse, misinterpretation, or external exploitation.
Commitment to Privacy by Design
Squares 9 integrates privacy into its system architecture. The platform is designed to reduce unnecessary data exposure and to operate with restraint in how information is collected and used.
This approach reflects a commitment to building a digital environment where individuals can participate with greater confidence in how their information is handled.
